Video Editor
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that aligns with project goals and brand guidelines. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in video editing software, a keen sense of storytelling, and the ability to deliver high-quality content within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing & Post-Production
Edit raw video footage into high-quality, polished content suitable for multiple platforms.
Cut, trim, and assemble clips to create engaging stories with a smooth and logical flow.
Perform colour correction, sound balancing, and audio enhancement to ensure professional output.
2. Creative Enhancement
Add titles, subtitles, graphics, animations, and visual effects where required.
Incorporate background music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance viewer engagement.
Apply brand guidelines consistently across all video content.
3. Collaboration & Coordination
Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to understand project goals.
Convert creative briefs and scripts into compelling video content.
Suggest innovative ideas for storytelling, visual styles, and editing techniques.
4. Content Optimization
Adapt videos for different formats such as social media, websites, ads, and presentations.
Optimize videos for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Maintain correct aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats for each platform.
5. Project & Asset Management
Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Organize and maintain raw footage, project files, and final outputs systematically.
Ensure proper backup and secure storage of all video assets.
6. Quality & Innovation
- Review final videos to ensure error-free, high-quality delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest video editing trends, tools, and technologies.
- Continuously introduce fresh and creative ideas to improve content quality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and transitions.
- Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
Educational & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Multimedia, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of sound design and colour grading.
- Experience creating content for digital platforms and social media.
